100% Natural
Founded in 1998, Agrícola Navarro de Haro S.L. today is a consolidated company and a national benchmark in the fruit and vegetable wholesale production and marketing sector. That is why we must uphold our commitment to the environment, contributing to its improvement and giving the best version of ourselves.
Sustainable
production
At Agrícola Navarro de Haro, we are committed to sustainability and innovation, investing in state-of-the-art machinery to achieve them.
We use both volumetric and tensiometric irrigation sensors to save water, as well as nutrient sensors to know at all times the needs of the plants and save on the input of fertilizers to the soil.
In addition, all our farms have drip irrigation systems using exudation tape and rubber dropper on the farms protected by plastic or mesh.
Committed to a sustainable future
Agrícola Navarro de Haro is part of the Port Rail Almanzora Levante project, which is constituted as a private company consisting of companies from the east of Almería.
The aim of the project is to build and manage a dry port in Pulpí with which to deliver goods by train to the rest of Europe faster and more sustainably.
We are also a member of the Bayer Food Chain Partnership movement, which helps to offer a product guarantee to consumers so they can perceive all the effort made to achieve our goal of implementing safe and sustainable agriculture.

Carbon footprint
We have photovoltaic plants that allow us to obtain part of our energy from renewable sources, thus reducing our carbon footprint.
We have specific points set up for the collection of plastics and we endeavour to reduce their use, thus benefitting from more sustainable materials such as compostable ones
CO₂ emissions
We incorporate GPS systems into our field work machinery, thus helping us to reduce fossil fuel costs and, therefore, our CO₂ emissions into the atmosphere.
We strive every day to offer high quality products in a sustainable way for the benefit of our customers and our planet.
Water evaporation
To prevent the evaporation of water from the soil, we use plastic mulching on the ground, especially for watermelon and zucchini crops.
Furthermore, we are constantly researching and testing new techniques to improve all production processes.
Quality processes
Our staff makes daily visits to the farms to control fertilization, irrigation and any other necessary correction.
Harvesting our products at the right time is essential, when they are in the optimal state of harvesting, to avoid damage during packaging and transport.
Equality Plan
We were one of the sector pioneers in the implementation of our first Equality Plan in 2015. We seek to establish a model in which women and men have the same opportunities.
In addition, through our prevention protocol we provide our workers with information and tools to prevent and act against sexual and gender-based harassment in the workplace.
We carry out active campaigns at our work centres and collaborate in environmental actions for this purpose. Equality is a task for everybody and can only be achieved by working together.

Research and Innovation
We work alongside various universities and private companies in research projects especially focusing on sustainability and digitalization. We are constantly and progressively incorporating fruit and vegetable precision techniques to make production more profitable and sustainable.
Examples include watermelon crushers, irrigation system with automatic heads and irrigation computers, self-cleaning filters, fertilizer tanks and field capacity recording systems in crop wet bulb. In this way, we know the crop’s water and nutritional needs throughout the whole process.

Optimal
growth
We use plastic or mesh cover in our greenhouses to modify the climatic conditions and ensure optimal growth of our plants.
In specific cases, we use plastic “tunnels” or thermal blankets to help in the rooting of watermelon and zucchini, protecting them from possible wind damage and increasing the temperature for their vegetative growth.
